Dhanurasana, or bow pose, is a powerful back bending posture that first requires preparation of the neck and shoulders as well as a counter-pose to follow. In Viniyoga, the breath-centric movements of Dvipada Pitham (Bridge Pose) help relieve tension in the neck, shoulders and back both before and after practicing this pose.
