Stable and Balanced Posture Linking Your Movement with Your Breath

In Viniyoga, asanas are often taught as movements from one position to another and then back again, always linking the movement with your breath. In this simple standing posture, Samasthiti, we use a Brhmana (nourishing) breathing ratio—with retention after inhale—to effectively mobilize the ribcage and expand the chest.

The movement ends when the breath ends. Pay attention to your breath.
