Two Versions of a Classic Vinyasa Sequence

This is a strong 5-minute vinyasa sequence of three postures linked together and synchronized with the breath. This yoga series includes: Urdhva Mukha Svanasana (upward facing dog pose), Adho Mukha Svanasana (downward facing dog pose), and Chaturanga Dandasana (low plank pose).

This classic sequence of yoga poses challenges and strengthens your arms, shoulders, chest and the muscles of your upper back. You can bend your knees to the ground as a variation to help lessen the intensity. Two versions of this sequence are presented here, one stronger than the other.

This vinyasa includes the elements of awareness, breath, and movement, using the technique of repetition from the Viniyoga style of practice.

Benefits: strengthening, energizing, muscle-building, increases endurance
