A Yoga Posture You’ll Use for Life

Cakravakasana, meaning “ruddy goose,” is one of the key postures in Viniyoga. While seemingly simple, this pose epitomizes the degree to which you can integrate your awareness with the movement of your spine and your breath.

You will literally use this posture your whole life. And its meaning and value will change as you and your body change over the years.

The 2-minute Viniyoga version here, is not practiced as a static pose. Rather, it’s a series of movements starting on your hands and knees. The goose pose will relax your back, tone your abdominal muscles, and help create extension in your spine.

Focus on linking your movement and your breath simultaneously, all at the same time.
