AGEIST Magazine
Reframing the cultural narrative around aging.
The Opportunity
Ageist is a media platform dedicated to changing the cultural conversation around aging, not as decline, but as vitality, influence and possibility. Founded by media innovator David Harry Stewart, the publication reaches a global audience hungry for stories that make aging feel both aspirational and inspirational.
The opportunity was to contribute thought-leadership that aligned with Ageist’s mission while expanding how health, longevity and wellness are understood through long-form storytelling. Bija’s role was to help shape a narrative that treated aging not as something to manage, but as a source of insight, personal growth and cultural value.
The Work
Across seven essays, Bija developed, and continutes to build, a cohesive body of writing that explores a system of practices for personal agency, not as trends or prescriptive advice. Highly readable, her articles are meant to reframe the cultural narrative around aging as a foundation for awareness, optimism and long term personal growth.
Rather than positioning aging as something to manage or resist, Bija treats it as a source of insight for self transformation. Each essay balances scientific understanding with philosophy, personal reflection and practical guidance, meeting Ageist’s audience with clarity, warmth and intellectual rigor. Stories invite readers to slow down, pay attention and reconsider what personal strength and wellness look like over time.
Together, her work exemplifies the voice that defines Bija’s broader body of work: grounded yet expansive, deeply thoughtful and rooted in lived experience.
This collaboration demonstrates how sustained thought-leadership can shift cultural narratives and deepen engagement across media platforms.
